With the release of their last EP, Tornado, The Broderick established themselves fully into the Bloomington, Indiana music scene and quickly proceeded to step beyond it. The five Bloomington-based musicians that create the pop-indie-rock sounds of songs like “Son” and “Gold In the Fire” lift listeners beyond the chimey rhythms of their recordings when they move onstage.

The band has appeared with The Whigs, Tapes n’ Tapes, The White Rabbits, Great Lake Swimmers, The Atari’s, The Mary Onettes, Peter and the Wolf, Awesome Color and Wax Fang in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Chicago, and Louisville.

A remarkably young troupe of seasoned performers, The Broderick collects the vocal energies of lead singer Max Mullen, the jangly guitar riffs of John Codespoti, the black-and-white keywork of Alex Winkler, the drumline precision of Quinten Schulze and the understated bass jumps of Eric Day.
