I made a simple discovery. Everything changes everything. I don't take myself very seriously, but sometimes my songs find release through me and I can feel them shifting the world [ever so slightly].

Opportunities I have had to play with a variety of musicians like Maria Taylor, Accordion Death Squad, and the Extraordinaires have taught me a lot about what it means to truly be an independent musician. We each have something to offer to one another [as do our audiences]. Now, I have learned to perform for the sake of the music, rather than for my self. People say they are glad they were around to witness the songs being set free. I hand design + screen print a wide array of merch that I hope will feel like gifts to fans.

My shows are carefully conceived; I have made films about bicycles, rivers, wind and Rwandans that I project during my performances. In 2008, I had an opportunity to travel to Bosnia to shoot photographs for a book about cultural identity; the people I met in Bosnia asked me to write a suite of music for their country. 3 songs of 4 in the suite are completed.
